HELLO WANDERINGS HOSTS! YOU’RE IN! 🎉
We’re so excited to have you hosting a Wanderings room at Craftcation 2026!
Wanderings is one of the most magical parts of Craftcation—a self-guided adventure where attendees explore themed hotel rooms to connect, create, and let loose. It all happens on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 8:00pm, right after Iron Craft.
HOW IT WORKS
You’ll transform your Marriott hotel room into a creative, cozy, silly, interactive—or totally unique—experience that reflects you.
Attendees will wander from room to room, discovering surprises, collecting passport stamps, and soaking in all the fun.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Pick up a door stopper (so your door doesn’t slam shut between guests). We’ll have some of these available at the Wanderings table next to registration—or ask and we’ll coordinate with you!
Bring a way to mark attendee passports (stamp, sticker, etc.). Attendees will collect stamps in each room to be entered to win a ticket to Craftcation 2027.
Want to decorate your door? Use painter’s tape or washi tape only to avoid damage.
Send us your Marriott reservation number ASAP so we can request rooms close together for hosts.
Send us your room number Email leanndra@dearhandmadelife.com with your room number when you check in to the hotel.
WIN A TICKET TO CRAFTCATION 2027!
Attendees will vote for their favorite Wanderings room. The winning host(s) will be announced at the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, April 12, 2026 and receive free registration to Craftcation 2027 (up to two tickets per room).

Wanderings is Craftcation’s one-of-a-kind self-guided art walk meets hotel room takeover! Wanderings Hosts transform their hotel rooms into creative, interactive experiences. Past favorites include:
Communal craft projects
Dance parties & photo booths
Signature cocktail tastings
Podcast recordings
Costume stations
Fundraisers
Temporary tattoo parlors with Craftcation-themed designs (a total fan fave!)

Your room, your rules (well, mostly). Think of Wanderings as your chance to bring a wild, wonderful idea to life. Some ideas to spark inspiration:
Host a mini craft tutorial or skill-share
Set up a tarot or aura reading station
Offer a DIY snack or drink tasting
Build a pillow fort or cozy lounge
Run a collaborative art project
Amaze guests with a magic trick
Share a guided journaling or self-care session
Basically, if it’s fun, engaging, and memorable, it fits.
Note: Wanderings is about creating experiences—not retail. Please don’t use this as a pop-up shop opportunity.
If you want to host but aren’t sure what to create—or want help finalizing your idea—we’re here for you! Just reach out and we’ll brainstorm together.
Guests will wander from room to room, taking part in the unique experiences each host creates. Most rooms host around 10–20 people at a time, with guests coming and going throughout the night. If there’s a line, folks will wait their turn to step inside. Plan for 100+ guests to visit your room over the course of the evening—so get ready for a fun, steady flow of wanderers!
- I agree to provide all materials, supplies, etc. to host my Wanderings experience.
- I understand that the Wanderings experience is not meant to be a pop-up shop but a way to engage with my fellow attendees by offering an experience, service or activity to be conducted in my hotel room at the Marriott.
- I understand that the hotel is open to the public and it is my responsibility to make sure that my experience does not disturb those who are staying in the rooms around me.
- I agree to abide by hotel rules of conduct during the Wanderings experience.
- I agree to keep my Wanderings experience open during the hours of 8:00pm – 10:00pm on Friday, April 10, 2026.
- I confirm that everyone staying in my room has given permission to host this Wanderings Experience
