Presenter
Workshop Description
In this workshop, attendees will first learn a brief history of craftivism and how people have used embroidered fabric through history and around the globe to create conversation and change.
Then using a zine with question prompts, you’ll create your own embroidered fabric piece to either publicly install or keep for inspiration. Participants will come away with a host of ideas they can use as inspiration for their creative work.

- Beginners and experienced stitchers welcome! If you're new to embroidery, I'll walk you through a simple stitch to get you started. If you're already familiar with stitching, you can join in and show off your skills. We'll be learning about craftivism projects that involve scrap pieces of fabric first, then creating a mantra around a theme of your choice to embroidery and display in public or at home!
