Getting Started with Garment Sewing
Presenter
Workshop Description
NOTE: This is a technique-focused class – you will not be sewing a garment.
The aim of this sewing class is to teach how to sew many of the construction techniques encountered in garment sewing. We won’t be making a full garment, but instead working through a sampler pattern to discuss why and how to sew darts, princess seams, understitching, grading seams, hemming, zipper insertion and more.
Attendees will get to try each of the techniques presented in the class and will go home with a sampler that has each of the techniques they are learning that are often encountered in garment sewing.
