GENERAL AMBASSADOR DUTIES
You’re a Beacon of Craftcation—Online, In Person & Beyond
As an alum, you know how special this community is—and how powerful it is to feel truly welcomed.
While first-time attendees can feel overwhelmed, they’re not the only ones who might need a friendly face. Many in our community are introverted, quiet, or neurodivergent—and may not feel comfortable starting conversations or jumping into new spaces. That’s where you come in.
Your role is to be a Craftcation “camp counselor”—a supportive, positive presence before, during, and after the conference. This might look like:
Answering questions or offering a listening ear
Pointing someone in the right direction
Introducing folks to new friends
Lending a hand to presenters
Or simply noticing when someone could use a check-in
We’ve outlined your ambassador responsibilities below, but at the core, it’s about this: showing up with heart. You’ve felt the magic—now you get to help someone else feel it too.

You aren’t required to attend these meetings but we’d love to have you join to help make the most of your ambassador status.

- Introduce us to creative communities or spaces where future Craftcation attendees might be
- Additional social media or newsletter posts to spread the word.
- Help plan the Meet & Greet, which happens on Wednesday at Craftcation
- Pitch us a special project that plays to your strengths (graphics, admin, tours, etc.)
- Have another idea for how you can help? We’re all ears!

BEFORE CRAFTCATION
Post 2+ times on your social media, newsletter, or other digital channels
Join our private Ambassador Slack space and engage when it makes sense
Attend one virtual Ambassador meeting
Complete any other optional special projects that you propose
DURING CRAFTCATION
Share about Craftcation on your social media when it feels authentic to you
Welcome attendees and help them feel at home
- Lend a hand where needed—like assisting with check-in during a workshop you’re attending
- Complete any optional special projects IE: Helping at the Meet & Greet
AFTER CRAFTCATION
Share your post-conference thoughts with us—via email or the survey
Share about Craftcation via a blog post, or social media (Optional)
