We started Craftcation because we wanted creatives like you to have a place where they felt inspired, supported, and seen. As part of the Hospitality Team, you’ll help make Craftcation a better, more welcoming space for everyone by caring for our community both at the conference and year-round in our online spaces. Whether you’re a seasoned Craftcation veteran or a one-time alum, if you’re passionate about building creative community and Craftcation—this is your opportunity to be part of shaping something truly special.

WHAT ARE THE HOSPITALITY TEAM ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES?

Co-HOSTS

Craftcation is one big crafty party, and we’d love to have your help hosting! Co-hosts are friendly faces in the crowd who keep the community engaged and connected online throughout the year, and help attendees feel welcome at Craftcation. 

 

CO-HOST DUTIES:

  • Be a positive, helpful and welcoming member of the Craftcation community (especially to new attendees)
  • Interact in our online spaces (Discord and Facebook) regularly, at least once per month
  • Participate in the Buddy system, where you will be paired with a new attendee to help make them feel extra welcome
  • Attend daily check ins with our Community Manager at Craftcation

CO-HOST COMPENSATION:

  • 20% off your Craftcation ticket 

  • Extra Craftcation swag (tee + pin!)

  • Invitation to participate in the Craftcation affiliate program

  • The chance to win Hospitality Team Member of the Year (prize: a ticket to next year’s Craftcation!)

aMBASSADORS

Ambassadors help represent Craftcation and take on everything Co-hosts do, plus a focus area or special project of their own to help improve the attendee experience.

AMBASSADOR DUTIES:

  • All duties of Co-hosts and
  • Act as a liason between staff and attendees within a focus area
  • Propose & help execute ideas relating to a focus area
  • Meet with our Community Manager to create a plan for your project/focus area

Example: Accessibility Ambassador

Serves as first point of contact for attendees with accessibility needs, answering questions and bringing concerns/needs to Craftcation staff. May additionally compile a guide with accessibility tips for attendees as a special project.

AMBASSADOR COMPENSATION:

  • Everything under Co-Host compensation plus
  • 20%-100% off your Craftcation ticket, depending on scope of role/project

You should have attended at least one Craftcation, so you know firsthand what makes it special (and where it could be better). We’re looking for people who are warm, compassionate, and genuinely welcoming. You should be solution-oriented (we love a good problem-solver, not a drama-monger) and self-motivated, since we won’t be micromanaging anyone.

If you’ve ever been at Craftcation and thought “I could help with this,” that’s exactly the instinct we’re looking for!

  • Welcome & Connect: Help first-timers feel at home and foster a warm, inclusive community

  • Lookout: Be the eyes and ears of the event—help us stay responsive and tuned in

  • Expertise: Share your skills, knowledge, and insight to support the Craftcation team and attendees

When applications are open, you’ll be able to apply on this page. Once we receive your application, we’ll review and follow up with next steps. We can’t wait to get to know you and work together to make Craftcation even more amazing.
