Craftcation Conference is excited to bring back Wanderings at Craftcation! This exciting self-guided art experience will take place Thursday April 1, 2027 at 8:00pm following Iron Craft.
There are two ways to experience Wanderings:
1. Host a Wanderings experience in your Marriott hotel room or another space at the hotel
2. Visit participating Wanderings experiences
Win a ticket to Craftcation!
All Wanderings guests will vote for their favorite experience. The winning host(s) will be announced at our Closing Ceremony on Sunday, April 4, 2027 and receive FREE registration to Craftcation 2028 (up to two tickets per room).

Hosting a Wanderings experience requires a space, an idea, and the people/resources to pull it off. If you’re missing any of these factors but would still like to participate, we’ll try to match you with a space or help to pull off your idea.
After all of the proposals have been approved, we will put together our now famous Wanderings Passport. Use this passport to…. you guessed it….. wander.
Start at the top and work your way down. Start at the front and work your way back. It’s all up to you! You create your own route. Just be sure to get a stamp from each room on your Wanderings Passport because….. Sunday morning we will draw the name of one person who completes their Wanderings Passport to win FREE registration to Craftcation 2028!
Applications are open July 1, 2026 and close February 8, 2027.
Decision emails will be sent on a rolling basis and you’ll hear from us within 2 weeks of submitting your application.

Wanderings is Craftcation’s one-of-a-kind self-guided art walk meets hotel room and space takeover! Wanderings Hosts transform their hotel rooms or other spaces in the hotel into creative, interactive experiences. Past favorites include:
Communal craft projects
Dance parties & photo booths
Signature cocktail tastings
Podcast recordings
Costume stations
Fundraisers
Temporary tattoo parlors with Craftcation-themed designs (a total fan fave!)
…and so much more.
Your room, your rules (well, mostly). Think of Wanderings as your chance to bring a wild, wonderful idea to life. Some ideas to spark inspiration:
Host a mini craft tutorial or skill-share
Set up a tarot or aura reading station
Offer a DIY snack or drink tasting
Build a pillow fort or cozy lounge
Run a collaborative art project
Amaze guests with a magic trick
Share a guided journaling or self-care session
Basically, if it’s fun, engaging, and memorable, it fits.
Note: Wanderings is about creating experiences—not retail. Please don’t use this as a pop-up shop opportunity.
If you want to host but aren’t sure what to create—or want help finalizing your idea—we’re here for you! Just reach out and we’ll brainstorm together.

- I agree to provide all materials, supplies, etc. to host my Wanderings experience.
- I understand that the Wanderings experience is not meant to be a pop-up shop but a way to engage with my fellow attendees by offering an experience, service or activity to be conducted in my hotel room at the Marriott.
- I understand that the hotel is open to the public and it is my responsibility to make sure that my experience does not disturb those who are staying in the rooms around me.
- I agree to abide by hotel rules of conduct during the Wanderings experience.
- I agree to keep my Wanderings experience open during the hours of 8:00pm – 10:00pm on Thursday, April 1, 2027.
- I confirm that everyone staying in my room has given permission to host this Wanderings Experience.
