Christina Bec Atkinson

Christina Bec Atkinson began practicing yoga in early 2010.

Immediately, she fell in love with the amazing benefits of detoxification and strength that it provided her with. Never one to exercise much before, she was pleased to discover that yoga is an effective and accessible workout for any body. It encouraged her over time that amazing physical changes can be made available to anyone through patience and practice.

The three fundamental blocks of breath, balance, and patience have become invaluable to her for the simple reason that through employing those practices one can awaken the innate capacity within their own body to heal and restore itself, on and off the mat.

Christina completed her first 200 hour teacher training program from Core Power Yoga in spring of 2012, and has been enjoying teaching one on one and with small groups of clients ever since to help shine the light of that awareness to others. She loves to create a class specific to the needs of an individual. Whether it be a specific area of the body they would like to target, an emotional upset, or internal malady, yoga offers postures and techniques that in and of themselves are not "cures" but rather means to awaken in the body itself its own miraculous capacity to stimulate self-recovery.
