Bill Waiste

Bill Waiste is an expert in food preparation, safety and handling, and all kitchen operations. His 30+ years in restaurant operations and management, product research and development, and menu and kitchen design, have served both start-up and multi-unit companies.

He has been a Certified Trainer for Prometric and the National Restaurant Association’s Serve-Safe food handling programs since 2002. Bill was the founding Corporate Chef and Purchaser for Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, responsible for all kitchen operations while opening BG’s first 10 restaurants within 3 years. He was Director of Purchasing for Elephant Bar Restaurants, overseeing the opening and kitchen team training of 16 restaurants, and was Director of Operations for a regional pizza chain where he changed the group’s culture to excellent ratings in kitchen cleanliness and proper food handling.

Bill is currently co-founder and partner of p.o.p. candy co., where his vast experience lends a deft hand in developing new butter crunch flavors using innovative combinations of all-natural ingredients. In its five years, p.o.p. candy co. has established itself as a flourishing web-based company with large customer base and national retail sales.
