owner/instructor StitchCraft sewing studio in Petaluma, California and owner/designer of Queen Puff Puff, an independent accessory line sold worldwide. Vasbinder’s designs are featured in The Wall Street Journal, CraftStylish, Adorn Magazine and Craft.

Nicole Vasbinder is the owner of StitchCraft, a hip sewing studio and fabric store in Petaluma, CA. Nicole has taught thousands of people the joy of sewing over the last decade through her popular sewing, patternmaking and design classes.

In addition to classes at StitchCraft, she teaches classes at Stonemountain and Daughter Fabrics in Berkeley and was a longtime teacher at Stitch Lounge in San Francisco. Nicole has also designed the accessory line Queen Puff Puff since 2003 and sells her designs throughout the United States and beyond.

Prior to starting her own company, she worked as a designer and merchandiser in the garment industry. She is an alumnus of the Academy of Art University and Otis College of Art & Design and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Craft Stylish, Adorn, and Craft.

Her first book, Sewing Solutions – Tips and Techniques for the Savvy Sewists, was published Fall 2012 by Interweave Press and her next book, Sewing Machine Secrets, comes out Spring 2013.
