host of KCRW’s Good Food and owner of Angeli Caffe in Los Angeles.

evan kleiman has been chef-owner of angeli caffe on melrose since 1984. she has been the host of good food on kcrw for almost 15 yrs. her interest in food policy is expressed through her participation on the los angeles food policy council, as a member of the stewardship council of the statewide organization roots of change and as the founder of los angeles’ slow food chapter.

she co-authored, cucina fresca, the first of seven cookbooks she has published. she’s been called the jerry garcia of cooking with the freewheeling improvisation she brings to the kitchen. evan is a sought after speaker and teacher and a noted cookbook author.
